Our curriculum is a 6-level program where students progress from one level to the next as they improve their skills. The program allows the student as well as the parent’s knowledge of where the student is in their riding skills. Certificates will be awarded after each level is completed. Every level is about learning the skills of riding, handling horses and horse care with safety always at the top of the list.TCR encourages our students to further their riding education by signing up for our mini camps, summer camps, and horse shows. Youth intern programs available on Saturdays to learn how to do chores and work at the barn.

Our highly qualified instructors schedule lessons for 60 minutes at a time. We provide the majority of our lessons in a group format once riders are able to safely steer and control their horses on the arena rail and complete basic figures. Group lessons have been proven to be the most effective teaching method for riding so that students have visual example during their riding. Riding Attire: Helmets are available until rider can purchase their own helmet for proper fit. Boots are available until you purchase your own. Riders are required to wear smooth sole boots with a heel, no tennis shoes or hiking boots.

Payments for lessons or evaluations should not be prepaid until you have scheduled a riding time. Payments can be made in person or online once scheduled. TCR riding program requires 24 hours in advance for canceling any scheduled lessons. Not giving a 24-hour advance notice or not showing up for a lesson will result in you being charged for the full lesson fee prior to scheduling next lesson. No refunds for purchased lessons/or packages. Remaining lessons will be credited and must be used within 6 months. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your lesson start time to get your horse ready.
